Description: Crown Point, MI - Kristen Zak, age 40, sued J.B. Hunt and Terry Brown, Jr. on auto negligence and respondeat superior theories and Matt Robinson on an auto negligence theory claiming that she was injured and damaged in a car tractor semi trailer accident on January 17, 2006 that severely injured her was caused by Brown's failure to exercise due care in the operation of the J.B. Hunt unit that he was driving. Plaintiff was a passenger in a vehicle driving by by Brown that jack knifed an hour before it was hit by the vehicle in which Zak was a passenger. Zak, a nurse, sustained serious permanent brain injuries that have impaired her ability to work.

Outcome: Plaintiff's verdict for $32.s million to a finding the J.B. Hunt's driver was 60% at fault in causing the accident and Martin 40% at fault.
