Description: On February 10, 2012, Plaintiff Claire Rixon was driving westbound on Chautauqua Boulevard in Los Angeles County in early morning traffic. Without warning, her car was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Bobbi Thompson. The impact drove Ms. Rixon's vehicle into the opposing lane of traffic where it was hit by another vehicle. As a direct result, Ms. Rixon's lost control of her car and accelerated into a wall guarding a residence adjacent to the street.

Plaintiff suffered a bimallcolar open fracture of the tibia and fibula at the ankle which required surgical repair that left her with restricted range of motion and post-traumatic arthritis. Her medical bills totaled $58,000.00. She claimed future medical and economic losses of $400.000.
