Additional Information: Michael T. Stone is a 1985 graduate of the University of Washington and a 1992 graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Stone was a Managing Editor of the Oregon Law Review and was the recipient of awards for brief writing and law review editorial work. After graduation, Mr. Stone worked for firms in Washington and Oregon in the areas of civil and commercial litigation and appellate law before joining the Brisbee & Stockton LLC firm in 2001. While Mr. Stone does become involved in the actual litigation and preparation of litigation matters, his significant focus for the firm involves research, analysis and writing. Mr. Stone is also the attorney primarily responsible for all appellate work on behalf of the law firm and appears in various appellate courts, up to and including the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Stone is active in the Washington County Bar Association and is currently on its Board of Directors. Mr. Stone is admitted to practice in all Oregon and Washington state courts; the United States District Court, District of Oregon; the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Stone is a member of the Oregon State Bar; the Washington State Bar Association; Washington County Bar Association; Multnomah Bar Association; Oregon Association of Defense Counsel; and Defense Research Institute.
