Arizona Resident Sentenced For Bank Fraud
WILLIAM J. WHITE, age 63, of Phoenix, Arizona entered a local bank and used a false identification document during an attempt to cash a forged and fraudulent check. The defendant was sentenced to fifteen (15) months of imprisonment followed by two years of supervised release and ordered to pay a mandatory special assessment fee of $100.
U.S. Attorney Evans praised the work of the United States Diplomatic Security Service, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in investigating this matter. Assistant United States Attorney Richard R. Pickens, II of the Financial Crimes Unit is in charge of the prosecution.
Outcome:
Defendant was found guilty and sentenced to fifteen (15) months of imprisonment followed by two years of supervised release and ordered to pay a mandatory special assessment fee of $100.
