Butler County Auditor Roger Reynolds were accused of unlawful interest in a public contract, a fourth-degree felony.

The charges against Reynolds were tied to pushing for a private golf academy at Four Bridges County Club with tax money Lakota Schools received from the auditor's office.

The State claimed that Reynolds acted unethically because his daughter was on the golf team at the school.

Outcome: Reynolds was found guilty on the unlawful interest in a public contract and not guilty on the other counts.
