Description: New Castle, Pennsylvania personal injury lawyers represented Plaintiff, who sued Defendant on medical malpractice negligence theories claiming that she was injured and/or damaged as a direct result of substandard medical care provided by Dr. Gilleland.

Rosemary McIltrot, age 76, underwent a colon resection for a structure on May 18, 2015. She claimed that she developed a fistula as a result of improperly placed staple. She underwent three subsequent surgeries to repair the damage.

Outcome: The jury’s award included $1 million for past damages and $600,000 for future pain, suffering and disfigurement.
