Description: Houston, Texas criminal law lawyer represented Defendant charged with second-degree murder.

Robert Soliz was charged with murder for shooting and killing police Sgt. Sean Rios, who was killed in a shoot out when the sergeant was on this way to work.

Soliz claimed that Rios, who was on his way to work swered into his lane of traffic and almost hit him. The two men pulled off of the road and got into a argument that resulted in shots being fired by both mena and the death of Rios.

Soliz claimed self defense.

Outcome: Defendant was found not guilty.
