Description: State of Virginia charged Mark Weiner, age 53, with abducting with intent to defile a 20-year-old woman who was drugged and drove to an abandoned house on December 13, 2012. The State asserted that Weiner, a Food Lion store manger and father of one, was a stalker who trolled around in his van late at night looking for victims.

The State claimed that he covered the woman's mouth was a rap soaked in some chemical which rendered her unconscious. Prosecutors also claimed that he sent text messages to the woman's boyfriend.

Defense attorney Ford Childress presented a family man who was active in his synagogue, supported his 9-year-old son's Boy Scout troop and took night classes at Piedmont Virginia Community College for personal growth.

Weiner took the stand in his own defense and claimed that the gave the woman a ride and drove her straight to her mother's apartment.

Outcome: Guilty with a recommendation that he be sentenced to 20 years in prison.
