Description: New York, New York: Democracy Partners, LLC, Strategic Consulting Group, N.A., LLC, and Robert Creamer sued Project Veritas Action Fund, Project Veritas, Allison Maass and James O'Keefe claiming that Defendants used deceptive tactics, violated wiretapping laws and misrepresented itself in an undercover effort to target Plaintiffs' consulting firm.

The Plaintiffs claimed that their organization was infiltrated by a Project Veritas operation who lied about her name and background to obtain an internship during the 2016 presidential campaign and secretly recorded conversations while working there.

They further claimed that Defendants "heavily edited" footage in videos to make it appear that Plaintiffs conspired to incite violence at then Republican candidate Donald Trump rallies and engage in a scheme to promote voter fraud.

Defendants denied wrongdoing.

Outcome: Minute Entry for proceedings held before Judge Paul L. Friedman: Jury Deliberations resumed and concluded on 9/22/2022. Same Jury of 9 present. Jury returns a verdict in favor of plaintiff and against the defendant in the amount of $120,000.
