Description: Caspar, Wyoming criminal law lawyers represented Defendants charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation conducted an investigation into a methamphetamine distribution organization operating out of Casper, Wyoming in early 2021. Agents identified Richard Calvert Brown, age 37, from Casper, as an individual in the organization that transported multi-ounce quantities of methamphetamine and pounds of marijuana into Casper on a weekly basis for redistribution. The source of the drugs was identified as Jonathan Frank Krantz, age 51, who lived in California. Searches conducted in California and Wyoming yielded a seizure of methamphetamine and several firearms.

This crime was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the Glenn County Sheriff’s office in Glenn County, California. Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie I. Sprecher prosecuted the case.

Outcome: Brown was sentenced to 75 months imprisonment followed by 4 years supervised release with special conditions; $100.00 special assessment; $400.00 Community Restitution; $1200.00 Restitution.

Krantz was sentenced to 75 months of imprisonment; 4 years of supervised release with special conditions; $100 special assessment; $500 community restitution.
