In March 2023, a jury found Timothy John Lewis guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm in the Western District of Kentucky. 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). The district court sentenced him to 200 months’ imprisonment under the Armed Career Criminal Act (“ACCA”). 18 U.S.C. § 924(a)(2), (e). Lewis raises three arguments to his conviction and sentence on appeal. He asks this court to vacate the jury verdict and the sentence imposed by the district court and remand the matter for resentencing without the ACCA enhancement.
