Wanda Delaplane and Jan Richards, the daughters of Loren Richards, deceased, sued Beverly Health and Rehabilitation of Frankfort on a medical negligence wrongful death theory claiming that Mr. Richards died as a result of the failure of Defendant's nursing staff to respond appropriately to his complaints of abdominal pain. They claimed that as a direct result of the failure of Defendant to provide appropriate care to Mr. Richards, he had a heart attack and a blood clot in his lung which caused his death. Mr. Richards was 84 when he died.
