Juan Lopez Olvera, 25, a Mexican national, was pulled over for a traffic violation in Tulsa. When officers approached the vehicle, they could smell marijuana and asked the driver to step out of the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and found a large bag of white powdery substance. A laboratory test determined that the substance was fentanyl. While officers booked Lopez Olvera into jail, they discovered that he was deported in February 2024 and has not lawfully returned to the United States.
