Additional Information: Mark Perlmutter is a Certified Civil Trial Lawyer with over 25 years’ experience. He has successfully represented myriad plaintiffs in legal malpractice, personal injury and other civil trial matters, as well as representing numerous clients in class action cases. A professional trial consultant, Mark trains other lawyers and law students in persuasion, trial tactics, and professional ethics. He has served as president of the Travis County Bar Association, Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas, and the Austin Young Lawyers Association, as well as chairing the State Bar of Texas Professionalism Committee. Mark is also an experienced mediator and an adjunct professor at the University of Texas Law School. He also co-produced Lifetime Television’s Scared Silent, a movie based on one of his cases and wrote the acclaimed Why Lawyers (and the rest of us) Lie and Engage in Other Repugnant Behavior. He received his B.S. in public address and group communication from Northwestern University in 1971 and his J.D. from the University of Texas in 1974. Mark is a cooking, wine, fitness and audio enthusiast.
