Additional Information: Jeffrey J. Wolf is a veteran trial attorney with extensive trial and appellate experience practicing before state and federal courts. He has litigated cases in Texas, Oklahoma, Washington, Missouri, and Iowa. He has handled appeals before Texas appellate courts as well as the Fifth, Ninth, and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He also regularly represents clients in commercial arbitrations. Prior to founding THE WOLF LAW FIRM, P.C., Mr. Wolf was a partner with JACKSON WALKER, L.L.P.

Mr. Wolf represents clients in business litigation, personal injury/wrongful death lawsuits, property disputes (including construction, real property and condemnation), insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, railroad litigation, banking litigation, and product liability litigation.

Mr. Wolf regularly tries high-exposure lawsuits and has successfully handled more than twenty appeals. Mr. Wolf's recent trial successes include a significant judgment on a counterclaim in a computer software dispute, a defense verdict in a construction defect case, a defense verdict in a product liability case, a fraud finding and award of exemplary damages against a Fort Worth real estate broker, a defense verdict in a railroad case, a partial directed verdict and jury verdict in an East Texas construction work zone case, and a defense verdict in a trucking case.

Mr. Wolf serves as national litigation counsel in coverage and bad faith litigation for several insurers for whom he successfully obtained summary judgments this past year in federal courts in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Waco, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tacoma, Washington. Mr. Wolf served as lead briefing counsel in the landmark case of Life Investors Ins. Co. of America v. Milburn, 511 F.3d 1285 (10th Cir. 2008). Mr. Wolf also has been involved in the development of preemption arguments on behalf of the railroad industry and was successful in establishing a railroad's right to federal preemption to protect essential railroad facilities from condemnation by governmental entities. Fort Bend County v. BNSF Railway, 237 S.W.3d 355 (Tex. App.—Houston [14th Dist] 2007).

In Fort Worth Magazine, Mr. Wolf has been voted by his peers as one of Tarrant County's best attorneys in the practice areas of antitrust, business/commercial litigation, condemnation, construction, general litigation, personal injury defense, and product liability. Mr. Wolf also has been named by his peers as a "Texas Super Lawyer" in Texas Monthly magazine.

Mr. Wolf is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Texas Bar (Litigation Section), and the American Bar Association (Litigation Section). Mr. Wolf is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Life, Health, and Disability Insurance Law Committee, and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. Mr. Wolf's speeches to trade and industry groups have addressed indemnity and insurance agreements in Texas, striking expert witnesses, ERISA litigation, legal ethics, alternatives to trying high risk lawsuits, defense of spoliation allegations, and railroad preemption issues. Mr. Wolf is active in his church and is involved in the Denton County Men's Bible Study Fellowship.

Mr. Wolf received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Westminster College. He received his law degree with honors from Drake University Law School where he served as Articles Editor of the Drake Law Review, was a finalist in moot court competition and received the Order of the Coif distinction. His note, "Expanding the Law of Trade Secrets," appears in Volume 38, No. 3 of the Drake Law Review.
