Description: Washington, D.C. - The United States of America charged former Blackwater USA private security guards Nicholas Slatten, Paul Slough, Evan Liberty and Distin Heard with the shooting deaths of 14 Iraqis in a Baghdad traffic circle in 2007. The Defendants were charged with 22 felonies including murder, manslaughter, attempting to commit voluntary manslaughter and weapons charges.
Outcome: Nicholas Slatten was convicted with murder. Paul Slough, Evan Liberty and Dustin Heard were convicted on charges of voluntary manslaughter, attempting to commit voluntary manslaughter and weapons charges.
