Most recently, Gomez was co-counsel in several trials against Janssen Pharmaceuticals over its failure to warn about the risks of the anti-psychotic drug Risperdal, namely its link to gynecomastia, or the growth of female breasts in boys and adolescent males. One highly publicized case produced a $2.5 million verdict in 2015 for a young autistic man afflicted with the ailment. (See stories)

Prior to joining Kline & Specter, Gomez worked at Sheller, PC, which pioneered Risperdal cases against Janssen, a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary. He was Shellers leader of case management, electronic discovery and litigation strategy. He also conducted pre-trial discovery and depositions.

An experienced trial lawyer, Gomez has represented clients in cases involving defective medical devices and general product liability claims, representing both individual clients and working on class action litigation. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants including corporations, giving him broad perspective on litigation involving medical malpractice and other personal injury cases as well as mass torts. His work earned him recognition by the independent review group SuperLawyers for 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
