Dan Brier concentrates his practice on the full range of complex civil and criminal cases relating to fraud, RICO, theft of trade secrets, clergy abuse, employment, health care, false claims act matters, criminal tax, financial crimes, lender liability and class action litigation. He represents both companies and individuals in investigations, in trials and on appeals.

Dan successfully represented numerous victims of sexual abuse against various religious organizations. In 2007 he prosecuted a claim against the Catholic church and obtained what The New York Times identified as �one of the largest individual awards made to a victim of sexual abuse by clergy members.� Dan, along with MBK Partner Jack Dempsey, obtained a $3.7 million dollar verdict against the US Veterans Administration on behalf of an Iraqi combat veteran based on the VA�s failure to properly treat PTSD. This is the first verdict against the VA for failure to properly treat PTSD.

For four years in a row, beginning in 2011, Dan was selected as one of the �Top 100 Attorneys in Pennsylvania.� Every year since 2005, he has been named as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. He was recently re-appointed to a three year term as a Hearing Committee Member of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. For more than ten years he has enjoyed the highest ranking available from the his peers in the Martindale-Hubble Law Directory. Dan is a court-approved mediator for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the Court of Common Pleas of Lackawanna County. He is also an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers.
