Guy Thiessen manages the Tulsa office. He helps people who have been severely injured in commercial trucking collisions, by unsafe products, through health care negligence, and in nursing home/assisted living facilities due to neglect or abuse.
Mr. Thiessen also assists individuals who have been wronged due to insurance companies acting in bad faith and those who have been injured on someone else’s property.
Mr. Thiessen also works with victims of oil/gas drilling accidents, aircraft accidents, boating accidents, injuries from animals, chemical explosion/exposure, carbon monoxide exposure, utility equipment failure, sexual abuse/exploitation and child injuries at daycare.
Mr. Thiessen has represented many families as a result of the wrongful death of a family member. He also helps clients who have injuries resulting in amputation, paralysis, blindness, post-traumatic stress and life-long disability.
Additionally, Mr. Thiessen has extensive experience in helping people with legal issues involving brain injuries; spinal injuries; fractures to arms, legs and face; fractures to shoulder, ankle and knee joints; and serious burns.
Mr. Thiessen primarily handles and manages litigation for the Tulsa office and has successfully concluded many cases by jury trial and by settlement.
Licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma since 1989, Mr. Thiessen is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, United States 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, the State of Arkansas, and all United States District and State Courts in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
He has been a speaker at several continuing legal education seminars in Oklahoma, many of which pertaining to how to handle nursing home and assisted living negligence cases. He is a member of the Nursing Home Litigation Group of the American Association for Justice, formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
Mr. Thiessen served on Governor Brad Henry’s Task Force for Nursing Home Liability Insurance to examine the issue of requiring all nursing homes in Oklahoma to carry liability insurance to pay for abuse and neglect of nursing home residents.
