Additional Information: In 1982, Jody K Burnett joined the Salt Lake City law firm of Snow, Christensen & Martineau, where his practice focused on the representation of governmental entities, primarily municipalities and counties, in the area of land use planning, zoning, and related constitutional and civil rights claims. In 1991, he left to become one of the founding partners of Williams & Hunt. Mr. Burnett grew up in Logan, Utah and graduated from Utah State University magna cum laude in 1973. He earned his law degree from Cornell University in 1977, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board, and was admitted to the Utah Bar in 1977. Following law school, he served a four year tour of active duty with the United States Army as a member of the Judge Advocate General's Corps. Mr. Burnett is a member of the American Bar Association and Past President and former member of the Executive Committee of the Salt Lake County Bar Association. He is a Master of the Bench and Past President of the Watkiss-Sutherland Inn of the American Inns of Court, is a member and past President of the Board of Trustees of Utah Legal Services, and is currently President of the Board of Trustees of And Justice for All. Mr. Burnett has also received Martindale-Hubbell's prestigious "AV" peer rating, signifying the highest levels of professionalism and ethical standards.
