In December 2007, The Robert Redford Center at Sundance Preserve produced a film called Fighting Goliath: Texas Coal Wars.The film is a documentary about the Texas Cities' opposition to the permitting of new coal plants.I was on the legal team representing the Texas Cities.I am also in the film, playing myself, as a member of the legal team.Susman Godfrey also received the National Law Journal's Pro Bono Award for its pro bono representation of the Texas Cities in this litigation. In 2009, I was selected to be a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society.
