Scott joined Lorance & Thompson in 2007 after practicing in the medical malpractice defense arena with a Houston boutique firm since 2005. As the son of a neurologist, Scott has a unique interest in the healing arts and continues to develop that interest in the legal world. His areas of practice include defending hospitals and physicians and extend to areas of commercial litigation, transportation, premises liability and general liability defense as well as DTPA, fraud and breach of contract. He has more recently been engaged in defending insurers in direct actions including alleged bad faith, negligent misrepresentation, fraud and conspiracy. Over the past few years, Scott has been increasing his scope of practice with specific focuses on defending Civil Right cases brought against health care providers and appellate law.
