My career as a criminal defense lawyer began in 2000, when I started working as a public defender in several northeastern Colorado counties. I have handled about 4,000 criminal cases over the years, including nearly 100 trials on charges from DUI to murder. Today, my criminal defense practice focuses on the needs of clients in Weld and Larimer counties.

I also advise people in divorce and other family law matters. My criminal defense experience assures my clients not only of a strong courtroom presence in complex disputes, but also of the ability to handle difficult family situations involving substance abuse, sex abuse or domestic violence.
