Description: Bridgeport, CT - The United States of America charged Antoine Snell and Treyquane Snell with committing violent robberies and car jacking.

ANTOINE SNELL and TREYQUANE SNELL, both 21 of Bridgeport, were sentenced to prison terms of 64 months and 72 months, respectively, for committing a violent robbery and carjacking of a food delivery driver in Ansonia.

According to court documents and statements made in court, on December 21, 2016, Antoine and Treyquane Snell, who are twin brothers, and a juvenile male, placed a food order with an Ansonia restaurant to be delivered to a location on Dwight Street. After the driver arrived at the location, the three males ordered the driver out of his car, attacked him and stole the car. The victim suffered serious injuries, including multiple broken bones in his face and bleeding in his brain.

On August 14, 2019, the each brother pleaded guilty to one count of Hobbs Act robbery.

The juvenile involved in the robbery and carjacking was charged, convicted and sentenced in state court.

Antoine and Treyquane Snell will serve three years of supervised release when they are released from prison.

This matter was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Ansonia Police Department.

Outcome: Treyquane Snell was committed to the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons to be imprisoned for a total of 72 months to run concurrent with the undischarged state sentence dating back to July 1, 2019; supervised release for a total term of 3 years; special assessment of $100.00 shall be paid immediately; possible restitution order is deferred to 2/17/2020.


Antoine Snell was committed to the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons to be imprisoned for a total of 64 months with credit back to 1/12/2018; supervised release for a total term of 3 years; special assessment of $100.00 shall be paid immediately; possible restitution order is deferred to 2/17/2020.
