Illinois Man Sentenced to 92 Months in Prison




Charles Thompson, 49 years old, of Forest Park, Illinois, conspired with others to distribute cocaine. Thompson’s criminal history includes prior felony convictions for aggravated traffic and controlled substances offenses, including a prior 1995 delivery of cocaine conviction.

This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael J. Toth.

This case was part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation. OCDETF identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations that threaten the United States by using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach that leverages the strengths of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies against criminal networks.
