Bronx Drug Trafficker Sentenced to Prison for Cocaine Conspiracy



Nicholas Colon, age 37, of the Bronx, New York, admitted to driving in tandem with Kenny Gonzalez from Long Island to Queens, where they picked up approximately two kilograms of cocaine from their drug supplier. Colon and Gonzalez then drove north to Ulster County, where they were stopped with the cocaine. Colon admitted he and Gonzalez intended to distribute the cocaine in the Northern District of New York.

United States District Judge Glenn T. Suddaby also imposed a 4-year-term of supervised release. Judge Suddaby previously sentenced Gonzalez to 60 months in prison and a 4-year-term of supervised release.

The ATF investigated the case, which Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan S. Reiner prosecuted.

Outcome:

Defendant was found guilty and sentenced to 46 months in prison and also imposed a 4-year-term of supervised release.
