Defendant-appellant, Anita Hawkins, was charged with (1) interference with custody, a violation of R.C. 2919.231, a first-degree misdemeanor; (2) obstructing official business, a violation of R.C. 2921.31(A), a second-degree misdemeanor; and (3) resisting arrest, a violation of R.C. 2921.33(A), a second-degree misdemeanor. Following a bench trial, Hawkins was acquitted of interference with custody, but was convicted of obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
Outcome: Affirmed.
