The woman attempted to step over the gate, but it fell-tripping her and causing her to fall and suffer injuries. She filed a premises-liability lawsuit against her friend and the friend's husband as the homeowners. The trial court granted summary judgment in favor of the homeowners and dismissed the case, ruling that the gate did not constitute a dangerous condition.
