Description:


Chicago, Illinois civil rights lawyer represented the Plaintiff who sued on a violation of Illinois's Biometric Information Privacy Act. The Plaintiff claimed that Prisma Labs used the LAION 5B dataset to scrape images containing faces, derive their facial geometr, and use that geometry as training date while making its portrait retouching tool Lensa, without notification of consent.

Outcome: On August 6, 2024, this Court granted Defendant's motion to dismiss and gave Plaintiff leave to file an amended complaint by September 9, 2024 44 .
