Description: Deborah Butler sued Megan Pitchford on an auto negligence theory claiming that she was injured in a car wreck on June 13, 2008 on Interstate 44 near N.W. 23rd Street. Plaintiff alleged that she was traveling south on I-44 attempting to slow for traffic when Defendant failed to slow and collided with Plaintiff's vehicle.
Defendant admitted that there was an accident but denied all other allegations made by Plaintiff. Defendant also claimed that Plaintiff caused the accident, that Plaintiff suffered from a pre-existing injury, that there was a sudden emergency caused by a third personal over whom Defendant had no control.

Defendant offered to confess judgment for $20,000.
