Description: Athens, Alabama personal injury lawyer represented the Plaintiffs who sued on medial malpractice wrongful death negligence theories.

The complaint comes from an incident in 2019 where Robert Owen died a month following a transport from Huntsville Hospital to UAB Hospital via a HEMSI ambulance.

Owen was alert and secured to a stretcher in a HEMSI ambulance. The complaints claims that one of the defendants, Jacob Steele, was beginning to fall asleep while the ambulance was still at Huntsville Hospital.

Owen's condition deteriorated during the transport and the EMTs did nothing in response.

Owens died on Mary 4, 2019.

Outcome: Plaintiff's verdict for $15 million.
