Description: Portland, Maine criminal defense lawyer represented the Defendant charged with bank robbery.

Donald Turner pleaded guilty to bank robbery, 18 U.S.C. § 2113(a), and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). Turner, who was on supervised release when he committed those crimes, also admitted to related supervised-release violations.

Turner previously had been convicted of numerous violent felonies and was consequently designated an armed career criminal. See 18 U.S.C. § 924(e). That designation resulted in an advisory sentencing guideline range of 180 to 210 months of imprisonment. In a combined sentencing and revocation hearing, the district court
imposed 210-month concurrent sentences on the counts of conviction, revoked Turner's supervised release, and imposed a
24-month consecutive sentence for the supervised-release violations.
