Angel Tyler, the mother of Breanna Bumgarnder, age 19, sued Ford Motor Company and others claiming that her daughter was killed in a car wreck in which her Ford Mustang was struck in a collision that led to a vehicle fire. The other vehicle was a pickup driven by Anna Errickson, a minor.

Plaintiff alleged that the Mustang was defective and unreasonably dangerous as designed in that the brake fuild resrvoi was not sufficient protected from a crash.

Ford denied that the Mustang was defective or unreasonably dangerous.

The door was the Mustang could not be opened after the accident and the car caught fire.

Outcome: Plaintiff's verdict for $7 million.
