Description: Charleston, West Virginia civil litigation lawyers represented Plaintiff, who sued Defendant on 1983 civil rights violation theories.

Plaintiff claimed that Parkersburg officials improperly entered and searched his downtown Parkersburg property in 2021.

The Court dismissed the Plaintiff's claim against the City but allowed Plaintiff's claims to go the jury against Parkersburg Mayor Tom Joyce, then-Code Administration Director Bob McClung, Building and Zoning Inspector Richard Goff, Fire Chief Jason Matthews and Police Detective Shane Semones.

The City has claimed that Gold and others were performing work on the property without a permit.
