Description:

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania criminal defense lawyer represented the Defendant charged with possession of the sexual exploitation of a minor.



Troy D. Arnold, age 57, a resident of Pittsburgh, was accused of violating 8 U.S.C. 2252(a)(4)(B) and 18 U.S.C. 2252(b)(2) .

The court was advised that on or about August 15, 2022, Arnold possessed more than 2,700 images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of children. These images and videos included the sexual exploitation of prepubescent minors and minors who had not attained 12 years of age as well as material that portrayed sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence, and the sexual abuse or exploitation of infants or toddlers.

Assistant United States Attorney Carl J. Spindler prosecuted this case on behalf of the United States.

The Pittsburgh Office of Homeland Security Investigations for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Arnold.

Outcome: Defendant is sentenced to a term of imprisonment 60 months at count 1 of the information. 10 years supervised release with standard and additional conditions. Restitution deferred until 3/4/24; No Fine; $100 Special Assessment due immediately
