Description: Great Falls, MT - Ana Suda and Martha Hernandez sued the United States Customs and Border Protection Agency and CBP Agent Paul O'Neill on civil rights violation theories claiming that he detained them for 40 minutes for no other reason than that they were speaking Spanish to one another in a convenience store.

When asked for ID, they both produced valid driver's licenses.

The Plaintiffs claimed that the U.S. Customs and Boarder Patrol Agent's only reason for detaining them and asking for identification was that they were speaking Spanish to one another while waiting in line at a convenience store to buy milk and eggs.

Suda videoed the encounter.

Outcome: Settled for an undisclosed sum.
