A jury found defendant Thomas Andrew Triplett guilty of second degree murder and found he personally used a deadly and dangerous weapon in commission of the offense. The trial court found he had suffered two prior serious felony convictions. The court sentenced Triplett to an aggregate term of 45 years to life consecutive to 11 years in prison.

Outcome: The judgment was modified to vacate any portion of the $129.75 criminal justice administration fee that remained unpaid as of July 1, 2021. As so modified, the judgment is affirmed. The clerk of the Superior Court is ordered to correct the abstract of judgment to reflect the modified criminal justice administration fee. The clerk shall also correct the abstract of judgment and the minute order of March 23, 2018, to show that a one-year enhancement was imposed under Penal Code section 12022, subdivision (b)(1), and not under "PC12022.1(b)". The clerk is ordered to prepare and transmit the corrected abstract of judgment to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation...
