On September 17, 2021, Sanchez came to work "noticeably intoxicated and under the influence of alcohol." Appellee Lupita Aguirre, a manager at Solterra, noticed that Sanchez "was heavily intoxicated, fired him, told him to go home early, and did not arrange for transportation to take" him home.[2] While driving himself home, Sanchez "drove off the road, flipped his car over, and died."...
