Description: Tulsa, Oklahoma personal injury lawyers represented Plaintiffs, who sued Defendants on medical malpractice negligence theories claiming to have been injured and/or damaged as a direct result of substandard care.
The elements of a personal injury claim are: (1) Failure on the part of the Defendant to exercise due care, (2) damages and/or injuries caused to Plaintiff, and (3) a direct casual relationship between 1 and 2.
On or about June 19, 2018, Kristi Leeann Miller presented herself to the Muskogee Creek Nation Medical Center in Okmulgee, Oklahoma complaining of shortness of breach and abdominal pain. She previously was diagnosed with having congestive heart failure. Tests performed indicated gallbladder inflammation and asymtomatic hypertensive urgency. Miller was transferred to Hillcrest South. Miler was determined to be positive for amphetamine, MDMA, cannabionids and meth. Miller was not monitored in her room and was found unresponsive in her room on June 20th.
